am I the only one who literally fell in love with John Ambrose? he's such a nice guy, I feel like I liked him better than Peter tbh and then to just leave him hanging like that? jesus christ my heart hurts for him man and on valentine's day too

John Ambrose my poor baby boy. I started watching this movie rooting for Lara Jean and Peter, but I end up falling for John Ambrose and his beautiful ass smile.

Okay 2 things wrong about the movie.
1: I wish we could’ve seen Peter’s perspective after the breakup.
2: I wish they didn’t leave John hanging at the end.

Im sure there’s more things wrong but otherwise... This movie was a masterpiece. I noticed how they put a lot of thought into the camera angles, script and directing. Peter and LJ’s relationship felt so realistic and sweet and it gradually came down hill. It didn’t just happen in a flash like some movies.

I didn’t like this. You meet John Ambrose and the movie leads up to when they kiss and she still goes back to peter. Like she learned nothing?

I was a huge fan of the first movie and I absolutely loved every scene. However, during this movie I felt like some of the questions were unanswered or lost in the plot. For example, when Peter was waiting for Gen instead of Lara Jean in the hot tub... he didn’t justify it later or try to explain himself? And where is Josh? I know he might not be as relevant in this movie but they’re good friends and neighbours right? Shouldn’t he at least have a scene with them? Andddd where did the necklace go? He just took it off her like that and didn’t even show him giving it back or apologising....But apart from these confusions I had, I still really enjoyed the movie.

It makes no sense that she ends up with Peter in the end ,because their entire relationship, they're on the verge of breaking up , Lara Jean says it's easier to be herself around John. So literally,this entire movie, she's dating one guy, while leading another guy on. Soooooo maybe Lara jeans not that good of a person, ya know what I'm saying

Man they did the book so dirty :/ John Ambrose was supposed to be so perfect that he was LITERALLY the one for LJ. Like in the book, they discussed more about LJ’s insecurities and her constantly comparing her with Jen and being afraid that she wasn’t good enough for Peter. And then in the book Peter was way more secretive with always being with Jen and he handled the whole situation wrongly. But then in the movie it never really showed that part really? It just quickly skipped through that part.

Also the second book was actually my fav out of all the 3 bc I LOVED John Ambrose’s character. He was so perfect for LJ and all the sweet things he did for her while Peter was treating her wrongly argh the movie just didn’t show it well enough. Like in the book, it was understandable why they kissed and the whole kiss scene was so special but in the movie it felt so RUSHED and just wrong like it was more LJ’s fault than Peter. Arghhh I was so excited for the movie but they changed so much events and details from the books :/

The ending was stupid. Peter and Laura are too different, they are both trying to fit into each other’s worlds but they don’t make sense. John Ambrose was way better suited for her and they shred history. Peter is a dumb jock who likes to party. Laura Jean is going to regret being with peter. If John acted on the letter first then she would be with him. This movie sucked.

I’m gonna be honest. It was so underwhelming. I am disappointed in this movie so I’m going to take this opportunity to rant.

Why on earth did lara jean get back with Peter? John suited her so much. He was basically her counterpart and she seemed very comfortable with him while with peter she was always a bit insecure. The chemistry was stronger with John as well. One minute Lara Jean looked like she was in love with John and then the next she tells peter she loves him. Like come on. If anyone has seen kdramas then u know this is classic second lead syndrome right here. Whilst I picked peter over josh in the first film, in this one I pick John undoubtedly. It’s obvious in the third film they’re still going to be together even if they break up a billion times so I’m just gonna hope that peters character improves enough to make me root for him. I digress.
