az**:

Damn he went to LA at 19, homeless, no support system, not even a citizen, no plan at all, and managed to be able to quickly be able to support himself and then run his own business in 3 years. This was before everyone had cellphones and internet access.

La*************:
This idea I believe originated with Socrates, who believed that the "gut feeling" or strongest thought in your head was essentially GOD telling you what to do

Ma*********:
This guy is just so laid back and doesn’t care what people think about him. Probably a key in his success too as it’s a likeable trait.

Whoa, its Magnus! Last time I saw him was at the Limit club on West St, circa 1986

I too have a passion for Porsche cars. Since the 80’s. Funny think is that I was totally uninterested in cars. My first car was a Citroen, my second two and I crashed both.

But in my 20’s I met a guy who had a HUGE passion for Porsche cars. I used to joke that he probably loved his car more than he loved me. Boyfriend was having his Porsche parked outside my flat on the parking lot while he went working the whole day. Leaving me the keys and telling me ” feel free to use the car”. Problem was that I didn’t dare to drive it, too afraid to crash it and probably I won’t dare to even come back home if ever I caused any damage to the car.

So the car stayed on the parking untouched the whole day.

Until the day he found out I actually never drove or even touched the car.

Then he got really pissed, telling me that this type of car CAN NOT STAY ON THE PARKING THE WHOLE DAY!! That type of engine needed ACTION! I had to drive it as he had no time and I had more free time than him.

So I took the car and drove it on the motorway. But I was so nervous I almost crashed it actually. It felt like an untamed mustang. I drove like 5 kms then hurried home to leave it on the parking.

Said nothing about the ” nearly crashed your car today”.

Day after I drove again, and got more and more confident. Dared to drive fast, veryyyy fast. I drove to the beach and the spotless car slowly but surely got dirted by sand, smell of cigarette, coconut oil stains on the wheel , I messed his car so much he didn’t want me to touch it anymore .

But after a while I got to drive it again.

I drove to my new job (waitress in a bar). Until the boss asked me not to bring the Porsche at work anymore.
Me: but why????

Well, he got pissed because all male clients asked him ” whose Porsche is this?” and he had to answer ” The waitress’s”. He didn’t like it.

To make a long story short , from that time I too got contaminated by the Porsche virus.

Even if I don’t own any (yet) it is the car I will buy the day money is not the matter.

But I found out later that the man behind that car, Ferdinand Porsche, who actually was an electrician and not an engineer from the start, well, that man , his life and the passion that drove him are far more fascinating than all the Porsches in the world.

SS******:

If you watch Magnus' body language throughout his talk, it perfectly explains why he has had such "luck" as some call it.  He is constantly giving signals of indiference and curiosity.  This combination leaves a person with vastly more options then having a predetermined outcome of how success need be found.  Less boundries = more oppritunities.  Most would have considered getting the wrong size pants bad luck or a negative experience.  He did not.  He simply made an adjusment so they would serve his needs better and went on with his day... make any sense?

Em***:

The reason why he's been so successful, is because he had a "go with the flow" attitude - he never had much ATTACHMENT to the OUTCOME. He put in his effort, but then he LET GO to wherever life took him. And it seems like that's what made all the difference :) It's like what Audrey Hepburn said: "I decided, very early on, just to accept life unconditionally; I never expected it to do anything special for me, yet I seemed to accomplish far more than I had ever hoped. Most of the time it just happened to me without my ever seeking it."
