Pa********:

I just watched the movie and I'm still crying for Bhoot :(

Ab***********:

Finally a book adaptation. Not a Disney musical. Looking forward to this bad boy!

Yz******:
I watched it yesturday, loved this new darker take. BUT can we all just take a moment to appreciate Nitin Sawhney?
The cast knocked it out the park but I thought the score was absolutely amazing along with the cinematagrophy, the moment when we first see the elephant and the music kicks in was a favourite, and the scene in the temple with Sher-Khan. Absolutely fantastic work.

Ro************:

I just finished watching this movie, and I can say with conviction; this blows the Live action Jungle Book away, and this years The Lion King. I was reluctant to watch this, and it took me two years later. Man, every child, adult, animal should watch this masterpiece. No corny musical numbers, and Disney Bull crap to hamper this down. This movie has everything. It will blow you away. Highly recommended. Skip the frame by frame laziness of the Lion King, and watch this instead.

ma***:

Woah what a cast!! Christian Bale, Benedict Cumberbatch, Cate Blanchett, Freida Pinto and Andy Serkis!!! I can't wait to watch the original adaptation of Rudyard Kipling's novel.

Ev*************:
This movie is even darker that this trailer puts it. It's not entirely faightful to the book though, so don't be mistaken. I think it's still a good movie, although rather depressing. You especially end up rooting for Mowgli, he struggles alot.

He****:

I am so sick of people saying that this is another Disney remake. It is not. Let me explain it. The Disney movie was nothing like the book at all, (and I don’t mean that the animated Disney movie is bad because I love it, even though I also love the book) but then Andy Serkis decided that he wanted to make a version of the jungle book that was actually like the book, so he started making that in 2012. But then Disney got scared that someone was making a version of the jungle book, so they remade the animated movie and got it done before Andy Serkis got done with his. So then everyone thought that mowgli was a rip off of the Disney remake because the Disney remake came out first. So in short Disney made their remake so this film would not have a chance at being a hit. “What a noble thing to do Disney.”

Ra******:

minor spoiler alert Just finished watching this movie. Its very well done :). I felt sorry for Bhoot though :(. The fact his last interaction with Mowgli was an unpleasant one made finding out what happened to him more emotional.

ZA****:
One of the greatest Netflix movie ever!

Wa***************:
So,Batman,Dr.Strange,Hela and Ulysses Klaue walked into a bar....

Ma******:
I totally forgot about Netflix buying the distribution rights for this movie from Warner Bros. until this trailer. I was so confused for a few minutes lol

Ka*********:

I’ve always loved Christian Bale, and I didn’t know that he plays Bagheera (my favorite character in all these Jungle Book films). So when watching this film and listening to his voice, I felt a sense of comfort and familiarity. They portrayed the panther very well, and Bale did an exceptional job :)

He*******:
I just watched this movie on Netflix with my mom.... and now I'm searching it on YouTube for no reason
by the way, I definitely recommend this movie i loved it \:v/ xd

DJ**********:

Um filme maravilhoso. Muito triste a cena do lobinho albino que morreu pelo caçador, quem assistiu, que isso sirva de lição para muitas pessoas a não magoar ou ignorar os amigos

Ov*****:

The actual good version of a live action Jungle Book

To*******:
I honestly thought bhoot was going to become apart of the pack at the end of the movie but I was so wrong

J:
Man screw these reviews trashing this movie. The cgi isn't nearly as bad as the reviews say and the story is way better than the Disney adaptation. This is the definitive jungle book, screw the haters.

En*******************:

I cried my eyes out when they found Bhoot. He died after an argument and Mowgli never had time to say sorry. And the fact that he was kinda bullied pisses me out. Dang I loved that cub! And they took him away!? Thats an minus for me.. A BIG ONE

Vi************:
DON'T read the coments if you haven't watched the movie

Ro********:
Plot twist: For doing the character perfectly, Christian Bale changed his shape to Bagheera.

An****************:

So Benedict Cumberbatch has the line My name is Khan again, I suppose :D

Er******:

Remake of the Lion King Remake please. “The Kingdom”

kl*****:
Andy Serkis should have been the one to direct Lion King.

Le*********:
Why's nobody talking about amazing Rowan (Mogwli) performance was! And I can't believe it took 4 years to create this movie! It was impressive!

de******:

Kh**********:

Mo*************:

the actor who played mowgli is damn talented

Al******:

this is such a good movie! i highly recommend!

zh*********:
The Lion King remake can use more facial expressions like this movie.

Du************:
That awkward moment when a Netflix movie has better and more emotional looking performances from its CGI animals than what Disney can deliver in there high budget Lion King remake.

Si******:
Just watched the movie, it's fantastic and way better than The Jungle Book in my opinion, the cgi was great, good character development, more closer to the book, great performances. Felt soo sad for Bhoot R.I.P

Za*********:

If only Lion King live action remake had this much expression on their CGI animals

su********:

I can’t stop crying about Bhoot dyingHe doesn’t derserve it

ju*****************************:
For all those who dont understand Andy serkis started making a jungle book movie 6 years ago. Disney decided they wanted to make a live action version of their jungle book a little bit after and managed to get theirs finished first and released. The Disney jungle book is not an adaptation of the original rudyard Kipling novel. Walt Disney is famous for telling his writers to throw the book out when writing the film. He wanted the characters and the setting but nothing else. Andy serkis's jungle book now called "mowgli: legend of the jungle" is an adaptation of the original novel. It's going to be darker and more violent. I think Warner bros lost faith not because of the quality of the film but because people were gonna be confused and hate the film because they thought it was the sequel to the Disney one.

De*********:
This is not a darker take. It is an adaptation of the book.

Disney was a lighter take which is typical Disney and nothing like the book.

Kipling loved the Jungles his Shere Khan had well founded reasons to hate mankind than just a grudge. Baloo was no lazy bum, Ka was no villain and there is no Louie.
Disney has cashed in for long on literary classics, nothing wrong with that ... but calling it the reference point and this one darker is just stupid.

I would watch this on Netflix.
Warner Bros could have really screwed this one if it was a theatrical release ... hope Andy Serkis gets to share his vision

SPOILER ALERT:
I got so mad when I saw that Bhoot got stuffed. Because Bhoot was basically Mowgli's best friend. And how their last conversation before Bhoot died was Mowgli being mad, and saying mean things. (I don't blame him) Bhoot was just trying to cheer him up and saying that he belonged and he was a wolf. But at that time Mowgli was upset at Bagheera over what he did at the race. So, he was just not in the mood and didn't believe anything Bhoot said. That hunter is just..

I also didn't like when AKELA DIED. Because overall Akela was very nice. The way he died was the bad part. I honestly did NOT LIKE THE HUNTER ONE BIT. If anyone that watched the movie didn't know it's the Hunter that shot Akela. I honestly don't care if it was by accident or not, he got what he deserved. Akela didn't deserve that, Akela was trying to save Mowgli at that moment when Sheer Khan was trying to bite him.

Sheer Khan and the hunter got what they deserved. Akela and Bhoot did not. I don't understand why they had to choose those certain characters to die. Bhoot and Akela's death made me cry. Once I saw that Bhoot was stuffed I just burst out in tears. And after I saw Akela I didn't know it was him at first. But after I saw that it was Akela I cried so hard I almost made an ocean with my tears. Overall, I guess I liked the film. By the way, if you don't know why Mowgli told the elephant that the hunter did that to it, it's because he stuffed Bhoot, and because he needed the elephants help and that was his revenge.
