So here's the thing... the last lady... in my opinion... had the perfect audition! Everything about it fell into place. Her little boy meandering around in view before she takes stage. Her story was on point, not too much, not too little. She's humble, loving, likeable, with expressive gestures. I believe this time Simon requested a second song, not because it wasn't good, but because he knew she could belt and he wanted to confirm it... and belt she did! She rose to the top when she bypassed the watter and said "I'm going to let this adrenaline take me." Then telling her to pretend she was performing an encore literally gave her permission to reach the sky! I loved it when she doubled up both fists and gave everything she had! But my favorite part about it was her little son watching... he was mesmerized by his mama! He literally couldn't take his eyes off of her! Even when Terry asked for a 'high 5'... he slapped but didn't even blink! He was serious as he quietly took it all in... and kept looking up as if there were something to see! What a beautiful moment in time. She said she wanted it to change their life... and not only did it change their lives as a little family... but her child now has that moment imprinted on his brain and it will lead him in life! Too cute when Sophia couldn't even wait to say "Yes"! Ohhhh... and Simons mouth hanging open said it all! Great choice Heidi! All the stars aligned for her that day and the angels descended and appointed every second to make her light shine! Awwwwhhh

See THIS is why Simon is Simon. The man is a Music Producer. Her voice on the first song was GREAT as well but he could TELL she had a higher vocal range than she was showing off. I mean he said to her after the second song how amazing her voice is BECAUSE IT IS and he KNEW that. I hope she wins this. I really do. As a woman who’s been pregnant twice and in a shelter and a hospital with both babies, I KNOW How much she needs this. Please vote for her Americans. I’m Canadian. I can’t I wish I could.
