Crying Child is confirmed to be the youngest child of William Afton. Michael is the oldest and was the kid wearing the Foxy mask to scare his brother. Crying Child was terrified of the animatronics and his siblings tortured him with it. It has not been confirmed but it is widely speculated that Crying Child's real name is Chris.
He witnessed Elizabeth getting killed by Circus Baby and it deeply traumatized him to the point that he began to fear the animatronics William created.

Hey Mark this is a quote online from Scott "Hi guys, there has been some confusion about how the breathing mechanic works, and I wanted to clarify. When you first open a door, listen for at least 3 or 4 seconds before deciding whether to close the door or use the light. If you close the door with an animatronic at the far end of the hall, they will get closer and jumpscare you when you open it and turn on the light. 

This game can't be played as fast as previous games, and taking time to listen for the breathing before closing the door is crucial, as closing it too soon will bring something bad to your door! 

NOTE: I'm uploading an update right now that does increase the volume of the breathing, as well as hopefully fixing the fullscreen issues for most people. This won't fix everything for everyone, there are just too many computer setups and configurations to account for. I will continue to try to improve it however." he has it posted on the steam network.

I think the most frustrating thing about Mark playing this game for the first time is the fact that he asks "What's the breathing" after instantly clicking his flashlight the moment he gets to a door.
I'm just sitting here watching the series for the 40th time thinking, "You can't hear it because you don't spend the time to hear it" repeatedly.

I guess I can understand it because the other games were training you to avoid them at all costs, and this one is saying to wait a couple seconds even if they are there.
Plus the fear of this game.
Idk, hindsight 20/20 if that fits with the context kek.

From what i know, there are 5 members in the afton family, William Afton, which is the dad, Clara Afton which is the mom, Michael Afton, which is the oldest brother and was abused by William, Elizabeth Afton, the middle child aka 1 of Williams favourite children, and the youngest, Chris Afton, who was the first one dead, his brother was only trying to play a prank on him by putting Chris’s head inside golden Freddys mouth, and it closed on his head, this is know to be the bite of 83 or 87 i can’t remember, the next to die was Elizabeth, her father told her not to go close to C.B (circus baby) bc she was dangerous, but Elizabeth didnt listen, she made a plan to go see c.b, but died because c.b stuffed Elizabeth inside her and killed her, now Elizabeth possesses C.B . After that, william went mental, he started killing children and stuffing them into suits, but when clara found out, she fought with him and later drove off a cliff and died, the puppet took her soul and put it in the dancing animatronic, so she now possesses that animatronic, when william heard, he thought that what he did was not acceptable, so he went to free the souls, but the children didn’t see it as getting set free, they saw it as a chance to get revenge, so they kept chasing him, william thought it would be a good idea to hide inside one of the suits, so when he put the suit on, the springlocks trigger was triggered and he died a slow and painful death. 10years later, Michael gets a job as the night guard at many different places, one of them was sister(s) location, so when Elizabeth and Clara afton saw that there was a new night guard, they didn’t think twice to kill him, they got help from an animatronic called Ennard, Ennard took out all michaels organs and threw them out, and used michael as skin or something, so michael is a walking zombie or whatever its called, and yeah, thats all i know
