I think it would’ve been a cool idea if they did “Finding Marlin”. Like, Coral actually survived that fish attack, and woke up at the bottom of the ocean since they live on the edge of the reef. Then, when she came to her senses, she would then swim back to the anemone only to realise Marlin was gone, since he was looking for Nemo and she spent HER time looking for him and then gets a surprise that Nemo survived.

Hey guys! This is just your daily reminder to not buy a blue hippo tang after watching Finding Dory! Blue hippo tangs, like Dory, do not make good beginner fish! In fact, no saltwater fish are good for beginners!

Blue tangs cannot reproduce in captivity! That means that all of the blue hippo tangs you see at pet stores were taken out of the wild! Blue tangs also can get really big, they can reach up to a foot long! Which means they need really big tanks! Blue tangs can also live a super long time! Some have lived for 20 years!

After Finding Nemo came out, sales in clownfish skyrocketed! A lot of people thought Nemo was cute, so they went out and bought one. Later, it died due to the person not knowing how to care properly for a clownfish. Now, clownfish can reproduce in captivity, unlike blue tangs.

So if you know someone who wants a blue tang or clownfish because of Finding Dory, please tell them that it's a bad idea! Get a plushie instead!

so here is my guess top what this will have. dory finds out that she had a dark past as suggested by her dream. when she remembers her traumatic past, she remembers why she forgets. perhaps it has something to do with her short term memory. as a result she feels guilty. but the overall message that Pixar is famous for is that there are moments in our life we wish to forget and run (swim) away from, but it's only by confronting them that we can move on with our lives. this goes back to Dory's "just keep swimming" motto; maybe there is a sad origin about it that caused dory to say it and ignore her past.
