I keep coming back to this performance, love it so much. I actually first heard the song through this so I might be biased, but when gave the actual album track a go, it was nothing compared to the performance. Album version sounds so artificial, like it's overproduced... Maybe that's why Artpop [the album] wasn't that big, great tracks but they never unleash their potential until performed live.


sidenote: Is it just me or she rushed with that part at 1:58 "free my mind artpop"?
Anyways. It's one of my favorite performances by Lady Gaga

Holy crap it's my first time seeing this and I'm impressed. The mood, the aesthetics, the song is really good. She really annoyed me back then and I had kinda neglected the whole ARTPOP era/album. Might as well finally give it a go. I'd love if her new Las Vegas show was more like this and less all over the place when it comes to the whole "mood" thing.

Coming back 7 years later and realizing this album was one of the most advanced points of psychedelic and interpersonal artistry that my generation didn't nor could comprehend at the time of it's release. I will have a family one day and show my children her performances and say, I was young then and I experienced this. For that I'm grateful.

I’m so sad I discovered this album so late, it’s such a beautiful one. And had so much potential if the singles were released right and if the management was so crooked. Now that I look at it I know that MANiCURE, Donatella,Fashion, And Gypsy we’re so catchy and radio friendly that people would get hooked on it instantly. That excluding how swine would have been a great banger for EDM lovers ://// I believe it was released ahead of its time but it could’ve been just as “successful” to the public as her other albums. And I’m not saying it wasn’t successful because it actually topped charts and most fans loved it :)

I never heard this song before. I only became a little monster about three weeks ago, by pure accident. I never took Lady Gaga that serious...thinking she was just another plastic autotune pop idol. How wrong I was!

Since about three weeks - when I got the time - I've been binge watching Gaga video's, interviews and performances and I'm stunned. Stunned by her talent and stunned I didn't notice her before. She's a TRUE artist, in every meaning of the word and this performance is....just wow. I cannot find the words. Fantastic. Awesome. Pure art in it's finest form.

I've always been a Bowie fan and the biggest Queen fan around since 1986, forever mourning the loss of both Freddie and David. But I cannot express how happy I am now having discovered Lady Gaga. To me she's the new Mercury, the new Bowie of this century and the new Kate Bush as well. But: a true original, just like Mercury, Bowie and Kate Bush. Of course true artists cannot be compared, there will never be another Freddie Mercury and there will never be another David Bowie. But I'm pretty damn sure there won't ever be another Lady Gaga as well.

I could go on like forever, but let's keep it to this. Thank you Stefani for your music, for your performance, your charisma, your personality and...your ART! Please stay around for the coming 50 years!! :-)

Lady Gaga. Not queen of pop, and not queen of anything. Physical thrones are nothing to her. She just is, Lady Gaga. She doesn't have one throne, she has millions of them in the hearts of the people she inspires. She's not the next Madonna, nor the queen of anything passed. She's a completely new reality. And when you truly understand that, you will truly understand her art and become united with it and let it inspire you and be your fuel in creation of your art and life and will genuinely make your life so much more enjoyable. Respect everyone, even the artists you don't appreciate for a reason or another, respect them. If you can truly do that and be realistic without the bitterness and anger in your heart, your life will be that much better.
