i always get so emotional and cry when i listen to this song, as a gay man growing up in a very religious family it was hard for me because i would hear them talk about people like me and where they would end up if they didn't change, like if it was a choice. i would always think about it and i would get really sad because i didn't know what to think or do and until this day i still do and i'm 23 years old. i still ask myself a lot of question and she literally put all my thoughts in this song and i thank her for that.
