JG************:

I think this guy is happy because he trusts himself, relies on himself and lives according to his own standards. Living like this frees you from the never ending cycle of blame and it's inherent process of self induced victim-hood. He's his own man, he might not be everyone's man ... but he's his own man and for that reason I think he is one of the most successful people in the world.

Ha*************:
seems like "The current era is the most uncivilised era, making life harder and harder"
True right.....!

nS***:

The irony is that in today's "civilized world", living like this man, a very simple life, is actually very hard.

Wi***********:

Worst part even after 30 yrs you still won't own that house. The bank does.

Ia**************:

No bias, this is simply one of the best ted talks.

ah**********:

So many university so many clever people....still our life is hard ....this man nailed it.

ow*******:
I live in Thailand 7 years. He speaks my life with his words. To have "nothing" is to have "everything" I own only 3 suitcases (That's 2 too many). It has NOTHING TO DO WITH MONEY. My friends say you have "nothing" but are the happiest person I know... I love that : )

Vi****:
We are all on this ship called Earth, so we are all to blame for how we treat everything and everyone on our journey.

Su**************:
Watching this almost 10 years later and still the philosophical foundation of my life.

Je**********:

Honestly this guy speech is more inspiring than any Steve jobs or warren buffet speech

Ze*******:

i feel so much calm after listening to his perspective of life.

ch***********:

Simplicity is the key in our life..we all have a choice, a choice to be easy or a choice to be hard. Good quote. Thank you.

Fr***********:
Life is easy, just eat food, drink water and work on something that fulfills you and makes society a better place.

Pr********:

He really made many things clear.

ri***********:
Jon Jandai " we make our lives complicated" "Life is easy" we just need to stick to the basis amineties and focus little less in what people will say.

Le****:
"the four basics: food, house, clothes, and medicine... should be cheap and easy (easily accessible) for everybody." YES! unnecessarily restricting those essentials to life for unsustainable greed is inhumane!

Ak*****************:

He's making sense. And this sense is hard to digest cause we're always to be great, rich, but never to be normal or just a human.

Wi***********:
Imagine all people living that way. No problems with global warming, rubbish, plastic. Fantastic!

Ge**:
He's really describing the madness of economic growthism. The whole modern ethic of "hard work" is toxic. Ancients used to work for actual needs, not excess wealth.

Ma*****************:
"I spent one month to save money to buy a pair of jeans. Every time i look, i am the same person".
The most intelligent person i've heard in my life.

Fe**********:
This guy said he isn’t smart, he sounds extremely smart to me.

Li***************:

He teaches us everything in Just 15 min
- Minimilism
- Life is easy
-Love yourself
-Think Differently
-change your inside and you will be grateful

Me****:

"I cannot manage anything outside myself. What I can do is change my mind, manage my mind."

St************:

This man is a genius, appreciate his simplicity

Am***********:
THE BEST TED TALK IVE EVER SEE!!! And trust me, I’ve seen plenty

Ma***:
I feel like hanging with somebody who is simply-wise & wisely-simple like HIM Even his voice is simply relaxing.

Ta********:

I just had a life changing moment, where I was deciding to leave my comfortable life for something unexpected and difficult ahead ...but for what? For whom?

Le*********:
This guy is what you call "the enlightened". This guy has everything in the world by having nothing

Jo************:
"When you follow fashion you never catch up because you are following it"
Gadlis!!

Wa**********:
every time I have problem in my life, I give one time to visit this video to healing my soul and my mind.
thank you very much to this guy

(2020 in pandemic covid-19)

Sw**********:
"Sometimes the best things in life are free. "

kh************:

This man helps to understand if you don't have a dream to be financially successful and choosing to pursue simplicity, push for it..don't follow what other people are doing around you just to fit in your society..Living in a normal life is a very stress free and happy life.

Ra************:
He is literally deleting Complications in mind with ease...Such a great words

Bo******:

He is speaking the truth lol.

God given food and we decided to trade it for paper....

Ly*******:

He's right, life is simple but the society keep telling us that life is hard and we have to work hard in order to be happy, we work 8 hours a day and then it's bed time for 5 days a week, when weekends comes we cannot enjoy fully because we have to work on monday, our life is just about work and we are all waiting for really short vacations or until we retired to enjoy life, whenever I bring this up people around me keep saying that is how life supposed to be and they keep mentioning how busy they are as busy is their badge, something to be proud of. I think that we must look things the other direction, life could be hard at some points but it doesn't have to last 90% of our life.

Ne********:

I think some people are missing the point.

I don't think he's saying everyone needs to physically build a house and grow your own food. What I do think he's expressing, is we need to stop trying to "keep up with the Joneses" and not let our society, fashion, peers or anyone else dictate to us how our lives should be lived. We get so caught up in this little ridiculous crap that we'll do things like work 12 hours a day at a job we hate, to come home to a place that has six bedrooms, marble bathrooms and a kitchen big enough to cook for a basketball team. And at the end of the day, it makes you miserable.

To******:
The western life is so hard cos we made it so complicated. We were born into slavery system which we take for something normal. Today we cannot even build a house without permission, etc. The system treat you like a slave or a 3yo child. It knows better whats good for you and wants to control every aspect of your life. The funny thing is the system is supposed to serve us but it made us the servants. People are so brainwashed that some are even extremely proud if they work for 60 hours per weak and are living in a chronic state of having no time.
