i acturally think i may have been the victim of the doorstep scam,
because once awhile back, some random dude came into our house with some crisis and wanted to use our phone to call a taxi
and then a few weeks later we got burgled like twice.. Mmm
interesting coincidence huh?

Some scammers also do this they ask you to loan them some money they say it did not go threw they do this about 7 times and then they say it went threw and they give some money back

NEVER simply drop a strange GPS tracker on the ground, leave the area, and then call police, unless you believe that you are likely to be in immediate danger from someone who is actually pursuing you at that moment. Don't have a mechanic remove it, either.

Instead, call police immediately, and take pictures of the device in its location on the vehicle, if possible, and wait for police in a safe place nearby. Do not touch it, in case it has fingerprints, fibers, or DNA evidence on it. Let the police handle the device. They will probably want to keep it as evidence, because the model can be useful in tying the device to the person or people who are using them. They may even want to use it as "bait" to discover if anyone begins tracking them if they keep it in their vehicle.
