1. Yes, horses hooves can grow like that. That’s why they need to see a farrier. No, it’s not the same for wild horse, they love so much that their hooves wear down over time

2. He was probably just given a bale of hay occasionally. That’s what I’ve heard of happening more often (I know someone who owns a rescue).

The former owner of this horse, who locked him in a small dark room for 10 years, should received 10 years in solitary confinement in a federal penitentiary.

There use be a goat that ran around my small town that had hooves worse than this. He was so mean, he would chase after you for miles if he thought you were a danger to him. The police and animals shelter dont care enough to get him so a farmer had to make the kids tire the goat out so the farmer could catch the goat easier and get those nasty hooves off the goat.
Now the goat is named Billy jean and he is doing better, way better.

Oh my goodness, he is so beautiful!!! I cannot understand how or why anyone keeps an animal they either don't want or cannot care for and to be so cruel about it and/or just neglectful! If you don't want call people until you can find help, and if you cannot care properly, do the same call people to find help!!!! Even if it means the animal must go elsewhere, love the animal enough to let it go to a better place! And if you truly do care and love the animal a home can be found that would be willing to keep you involved and around!! He is extremely lucky he can still stand much less walk run and jump!!! He has true spirit and is so beautiful!!! Iam so glad and thankful for those who helped him for those who adopted him!!!
