I would also add, be sure to install the pad with the wear indicator on the inboard side of the caliper.

I always clean and grease the caliper or bracket that holds the pads where the edges of the pad slide toward the rotor when braking

Great tips. Some of them are really helpful, and some are just an extra. I work at a dealer and no one ever uses the bleeder valve method to remove old brake fluid nor we clean of the pistons and no car has come with any issues related to that.

Great tips. Here's mine- Use oem pads or better and apply grease to the backs of the pads to limit squeaking.
