Ma***********:
Am I the only one who doesn't think she's fat AT ALL? She's curvy if anything

No*************:
Who's still watching in 2020?

Vi******:
Plus size starts at a size 8?!? Size 8 is goals in my opinion!

An*****:
Lord you guys.
She's just promoting body positivity and a healthy lifestyle.. don't be so melodramatic.

sp*********:
She looks so much like Eva Mendes!

An****:

It's easy the like your self for your size when you have such a gorgeous face

ha******************:

“What shape are you? Apple, pear or hourglass?”

“Shut up i’m awesome shaped”

ma*********:

plus size? more like slim thick. damn...

Ch******************:

Can i just say curvy is beautiful

Ol*****:

I am skinny but i look at her and wow. She is gorgeous, and she is so comfifent

Is*************:
But note how she has a perfect hourglass figure, perfect hair, and face.....interesting how she in some way still upholds the same standards she is trying to fight.
What about all the people that are just in the middle? No apparent curves, not really skinny, but not really "fat". I've yet to find someone who makes a speech about THOSE people.

Be**********:
I am size 12 .. and I FREAKING love IT!

Bi***************:

one of the biggest issues is that when a girl claims she is beautiful people are quick to judge and call these girls "self obsessed." this is done by insecure people trying to bring people's confidences down to their level. Once these girls belive they're not beautiful they tend to bring that mentality to others. it's a cycle in society.

Ed*********:
I love you Ashley!!! You go girl!

As********:
We don't only need to expand the definition of beautiful, we also need to stop thinking "beautiful" means "valuable." You don't need to be attractive to be worth something.

Ta********:
She is beautiful.

an*********:

'I was filling my life with temporary fixes' welp...you got me there girl

Sh*****:
I wish I could be as beautiful as her

An**************:
BRO HER BODY THOOOOO

He********:

Seriously it is the first video that made me cry with a big smile on my face.

Ni********:
I thought she was talking to the fish in the beginning

au*******:

she's not even fat, not that there's anything wrong with that. she's thick

Er********:
She is absolutely beautiful but I don't believe that she represents plus size women. The "plus size" models that we see aren't what MOST plus size women look like. Ashley is curvy but not fat at all. She has curves in all the right places and her body is proportionate. Plus size in the sense of lumps and rolls etc isn't what is being represented. However I think it's great that "larger" and I use the word larger lightly, women such as Ashley are being more accepted in the modeling industry.

Ca********:
I'm happy with my body, I love my body but I acknowledge that I have things I need and want to improve on

kr**********:

As long as you're healthy then who cares?
If your size is affecting your health, then that's a separate issue.

Bl*******:

so smart and elegant

De************:
Damn this chick is perfect to me

Ke*********:

Yeah as long as you have a perfect face to go alone with it, you’re good!

th***************:

This is so Apt, it's a constant effort to love yourself, a daily work! I think we all need time on that journey! You are amazing Ashley

Fr*********:
"You are pretty for a big girl" How many other phrases just like this have you heard in your life? "You are very successful for a black men, are you a rapper?" "He is cute for a Latino" "She is so smart for a black girl" and on and on and on....

Dr*:
whats wrong with plus size, ITS FUCKING AMAZING

Al********:
she is not beautiful she is extraordinarily beautiful. like really? look at her face omg wow wow WOW

Ja***********:

Whenever I’m feeling insecure about myself I always come back to this video. Ashley always keeps me in check

In*************:

Looooove her! She is really is the best.

Ca************:
I'm crying...this hit me hard!
you are amazing Ashley!

uh****:

THE MOMENT I SAW ASHLEY I IMMEDIATELY CLICKED ON THE VIDEO OMG

to******:
90% of the hate comments are coming from men lol. most men won't get it and will never understand the beauty issues woman have to face with everyday. and no, having the pressure to go to the gym all the time to stay fit is not what every man does. most woman don't give a shit what a man looks like just as long as he's not obese. that's also true for how men think of woman; they don't want their ladies to be obese. but the thing is this woman in this video is not obese. She is overweight but not to the point where it is UNHEALTHY. I'm so sick and tired of people seeing someone who is overweight and just assuming they stuff their face with fattening foods. why don't people harass others who are considered stick thin and eat shitty foods? oh wait, because on the outside they look healthy because they're thin. so thin automatically means healthy right?

Ke*:
Being fat doesn't matter. What is attractive is proportions. This women has the attractive proportions that are typically sought after in women. If more fat settled in, say, her neck rather than in the areas they 'should' settle, she wouldn't be in the position she is in today. Most importantly, her face isn't that fat. Much of attraction comes from the face when sizing someone up. I'm not sure anyone actually finds this women unattractive or super repulsive. This women is not in a place of struggle as much as someone who is actually proportionally different from beautiful proportions and actually statistically 'ugly' when compared to typical beauty standards. This isn't to invalidate her message as people should be encouraged to not think ill of themselves, but to sell it with ethos in this underdog fashion is just inauthentic; she's only successful because she is actually attractive. An actual 'ugly' person would most likely never find such critical acclaim. I find it a common occurrence for women who are allegedly ugly (not really, as in this video) to parade around spreading 'body positivity' from, in actuality, a comfortable perch societally speaking. It becomes somewhat nauseating when people constantly laud an individual for something that doesn't actually exist. Congratulations, you're a real hero for standing in the face of societal norms which deem you ugly! Oh wait, you're not actually that ugly, you're somewhat attractive even! (says no one) Does no one else see this contradiction? Nowhere have I actually seen a true 'ugly' person garner such attention, which in turn provides a somewhat amusing hypocrisy of the masses.

:^)
