I don't know, if I had millions of years to design something, I think I'd do a pretty good job.

Whoever written the title has a poorly designed brain that's for sure.

An************:
The Velcro (hook and loop), one of the great inventions of all time, was invented by Mr. de Mestral, a Swiss engineer, when he realized that the tiny hooks of the cockle-burs (Xanthium) were stuck on his pants and in his dog's fur and wondered how they attached themselves. Under the scrutiny of the microscope, he observed the hooks engaging the loops in the fabric of his pants.

This reminds me of the museum under La Sagrada Familia, which goes into the various natural structures and patterns that inspired Gaudi when he was designing it. That was mainly for aesthetics, but I think it’s a great example of creating something spectacular by looking to nature for ideas. Humans with access and exposure to a lot of technology tend to be so cut off from the natural elements of the world they live in, even though nature has been developing incredible methods of communication, waste management, travel, and everything else for billions of years. Great video!

Eg**********:
The reason that nature is so elegantly designed is because with each generation of plants and animals, only the best survives. When you repeat this process, just as an example, on 100 animals that makes 1000 children each generation (10% of which survives) for 100 generations, you are technically ending up with the top 100 animals out of 10^101 possible variations, or the top 99.999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999 percentile. The way evolution works with the idea of "generations" is a way of creating checkpoints where process is constant. You don't have to make the jump from 1 to 100, but you can do it in small increments.

Nature is a very, very large scheme of trial and error, while humans take the opposite approach - developing concepts and ideas and putting them to reality.

The way evolution works is that it tends toward an equilibrium. This equilibrium often works very well, but isn't always the most optimal solution. If our world had a creator, one would expect more truly optimal solutions. This is not to deny the existence of a God, but to illustrate that it is entirely possible for nature to evolve the way it did without the interference of a creator. After all, why should a creator do something manually when it can just handle itself on its own?
