‘The problem was that, unlike the UK, Canada or Australia, the US was too much of a stubborn bastard to comply’

Ed***********:
Don't worry. The US is still inching towards the metric system.

Me********:

“Right now it’s 90 degrees.”
ALMOST BOILING?!?!?!? DAMMIT!!!

In America
“Right now it’s 25 degrees Celsius.
Oh shoot it’s below freezing

The US is so backwards.

Na*****:

4:10 did you guys actually just use your own article as a source?

In****************:
You know when the UK rejects something that literally has “imperial” in the title that it’s something you shouldn’t be using.

Ap**********:

I like Fahrenheit. I don’t know why this offends me lol

tr*********:

Just found out, Celsius and Fahrenheit have something in common: -40° Celsius equals to -40° Fahrenheit

NT*********:
Imagine an alternate universe where the US uses the metric system and the rest of the world uses the imperial system

Gl***********:

When I first came to the US I got really scared when the weatherman said it was 90° outside. I thought the world would end.

Da*********:

Video: explains literally everything about how converting to Celsius would be better in every conceivable way
Also video: "Nah."

Pe*********:

I'm an American, and I know the metric system, it's not rocket surgery.

Ra**********:

I wouldn’t mind switching. I don’t think most Americans would, either. I just don’t think it’s that high on the priorities list right now.

Cr*******:

USA - Miles!
Most of the world - KM!
UK - Miles for speed, KM for distance!

DU*********:
as an american i can indeed confirm that we use donuts per bald eagle

Pa*****:

America: hmmm yes I can see here that this football field is about the length of a football field.

ed********:
I’m still surprised that the USA doesn’t have a time measurement system of their own...

But I hope that doesn’t ever happen because it will just get everyone mixed up again.

jo****:

As a former aerospace estimator and manufacturing engineer, I WANT METRIC! Too late, retired.

2S***:

Did you finally introduced the amount of racist cops per city

mi***********:
In Australia, we started using Celsius in 1970. My mother was 31 at the time. 50 years later, she still converts Celsius to Fahrenheit in her head so she knows what the weather is going to be.

co********:
"That would spend a lot of mony"
Said the country with a military budget of 1 trilion

Da********:
How tall are you?

Americans: i'm 6'2

Rest of the world: okay dwarf

ke****:

"Making science education even more difficult" - probably why many Americans are anti-science
