The best vocalist of our generation. Her technique is everything, which is a combination of Barbra Streisand's, Judy Garland's and Ella Fitzgerald's techniques. Her breath support is phenomenal as well as her control, her operatic mid belts are just amazing and her mid belts can only be compared to those of Barbra Streisand's and Judy Garland's in terms of technique. Have several seats other singers(Beyonce, Adele, Jessie J, Ariana Grande...), this woman is talent!

I remember watching this with family and friends and honestly was so blind to Lady Gaga's singing ability before this. I think most of us were, and a lot of us were talking and kind of not paying much attention at first when this came on during the game, then she starting singing and we all were sitting there in shock with our mouths open by how unbelievably amazing she was, this brought tears to my eyes and opened up my eyes to the shear talent of this woman. I've been a fan ever since. Performance is truly unforgettable.

A thing about the national anthem is that it’s been performed so many times that people like to change it up, usually reharmonizing, doing something with the time, switching the instrumentation of the accompaniment, etc. Sometimes it ends up going south (like Fergie) but this is one of those examples where the changes make the performance unique and interesting without being odd or inappropriate in the context. As I was listening, a lot of the same ideas of Whitney Houston’s performance (probably the best ever) were used here and were used very well. Another aspect of what makes this really awesome is Lady Gaga’s immense, beautiful voice, and the choice of piano as the only accompaniment really emphasized the power of her performance. Love her rendition!
