The clutch kit you got works on a 28 and 31 spline axle. The s spring in the kit is made for a 31 spline axle. I did the same thing as you and used the original s spring.

you need to remeber that this spring is under tremendous amount of pressure, NOW TO REMOVE IT WE ARE GOING TO USE A HAMMER
