He's back! :-) Outstanding video Chris. The same type of joints with clicking and clunking can also be found in your steering column. I replaced my intermediate shaft recently. I bet the road salt used in the winter got into those joints and helped make them worse.

This is good to know. About eight or so years ago, my cousin and I went to the coast for the day, him in his Jeep with his girlfriend, me in my car with his sister. At one point we went different ways, because we lived in different places. Then I get a call, they needed to be picked up because his U-joint failed. So we all went to his place, hit the auto parts store first thing next morning, and did a roadside repair. Thankfully it wasn't a road with heavy traffic, but all I basically did was hand him tools and support the drive shaft when needed. But now I have a better understanding of what happened.
