0:34 replace these rods bushings if they are gone from wear and tear. you could flip if you hit
the breaks hard and one of them snaps.

Wow, you've literally helped me fix almost every part in my car. Saved probably $1,500 and got to pick my own parts with all the projects.

rb******:
The original sway bar bushing opening was towards the rear of the vehicle , I would think facing it forward could allow road salt and dirt to enter the bushing easier

Da*********:

well, I'm no mechanic and you explained it well...the whole procedure was clear and straightforward. Thank you Chris.

Th************:

I was thought to never back off a nut....lolol *insider*

SL***********:

Hey Chris , Great video .I like that your very detail oriented which is very helpful and you don't waste time with unnecessary talk which would confuse . Thanks

Fa****:
Never back off a nut, or you might end up with blue bushings.

Re********************************:
"just take the bolt off" sounds much less simple when you live in the salt belt and you are repairing a 22 year old car with 200k miles.

Fo*************:

Exactly what I needed. Thanks Chris!!

Mi***********:

Best explanation and video I have seen on youtube of sway bar replacement.  Great job and thanks for taking the time to put this video on youtube.

Da**********:

for rusty parts like that sway bar, ever soak them in vinegar? then lightly brush the rust away, dry off and coat with a light grease or oil?

Ju************:

Had a garage mechanic tell me today that my whole front end needed to be replaced and he could do it for $800.00.  I decided to wait since I just bought the thing, license and registration was close to $500.00 and tires were pushing $300.  I went to change my oil and saw that one side sway bar link was missing and the other so worn out it was loose....less than 20 dollars and I changed them out, it steers good now without the wobble.  Thanks for another informative video.

Go*******:

dude there's so much "that's what she said" material

Da***:
Good job on this video.  Your photo skills and narration are very good!  Thanks!

Mi**********:
The Bible says if you confess with your mouth, "Jesus is Lord," and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. We're living in the end times. Jesus will be rapturing his church before the 7 years of Tribulation begins. He will come back after the 7 years. If you miss the rapture don't take the mark of the beast, you can't go to heaven if you do. It will be on your right hand or your head. God bless you.

To*****:
I'm so glad to have a cordless impact just for these days!

Ni**********:

I have to add that in my experience with my Yukon, it is best to install the sway bar links with the wheels on the ground then jack the front end off the ground to tighten. This alleviated any play that I experienced installing and tightening on the ground. I get around 6-8 more full turns and steering is tight no chatter.

VERY   NICE JOB  CHRIS.
NOW IT IS TIME TO DO MY

KEEP UP THE GOOD  WORK  CHRIS.

Ma******:

Ko*****************:

chris please make a video on how to replace my girlfriend

Ma**********:
I had a bad "clunk" when I turned or hit small bumps. Turned out I was missing a bushing on each side. I noticed it while doing and oil change. Replaced mine this weekend on my '03 Explorer Sport. Used the same parts. I followed the video and it was really easy. Ran into one problem where I did not have enough threads exposed for the nut. I had someone pull down on the sway bar enough to expose the threads and quickly screwed it on. Great instruction. Subscribed just for this.

pe********:
Thanks
