The other thing I loved about Shin on AGT is that he didn't put forth a sob or hard luck story for his appearance. It was mentioned on Penn & Teller's show but not AGT. While I don't think that should be a disqualifier, I think it goes to show that his appearances were all about his craft and what he can do...not about his story.

This was an extremely tight competition, the title could go to anyone at announcement night. This is actually the only AGT season where I liked the line-up of winners, like foreign Got Talent winners Christina Ramos and Kseniya Simonova coming in 3rd and 4th place. Preacher Lawson who was consistently funny and proved that a comedian can go father than anyone expects on such a big stage. Darci who stepped up her game big time, she totally smashed her performance and took ventriloquism on a whole new level. Shin Lim who is pressured to perform after winning only after a few months back, and actually giving an amazing performance nevertheless. This show was amazing, Shin Lim is both deserving and amazing at the same time. The other contestants were extremely tough competition.
