Don't expect to much action, it's more the story of a father in a gangster life.

The way Scorsese is able to transport you back in time, amazing. A lot of the scenes didn't feel like "dreams" or "flashbacks" but you were living in the moment, then, with Frank.

Surprised that some say this movie was “boring.” It was a masterpiece. Pacino, De Niro, Pesci, and Romano all did an excellent job in their roles. Is it the greatest Scorsese film? No. Is it still an amazing film! Absolutely. 5 stars

Hi all. I made an oscars marathon these days and guess what. I watched first "The Irishman" and after that immediately "Joker". You can not imagine my feeling when the joker killed Robert De Niro

It's a marvelous film, undoubtedly. However, it could be a confusing mess to many viewers who aren't familiar with certain things. Here's the thing, one should have some familiarity with mob history and general U.S. history to truly appreciate this excellent movie. For example, the film touches on the murder of Anastasia, and the hit against Crazy Joe. It also touches on the Colombo family and the "Italian American" discrimination group and the ostentatious hit in Manhattan. It also has a couple of scenes about the Bay of Pigs invasion. And of course it deals with the disappearance of Hoffa. So going into the film, it would be helpful if prospective viewers studied up just a bit on these matters in order to appreciate Scorsese's masterpiece.

I avoided falling for the hype of this movie for months. I just didn't think that it would be good. I finally watched it yesterday and I really liked it. It is a fascinating tale but i don't believe it is 100% accurate. It would help to have a working knowledge of the mafia and its characters or you may get lost. It is definitely a movie that I will watch again and again.

All of the actors did really well but I liked Christian Maniscalco/Joey Gallo; Domenick Lombardozzi/Fat Tony and of the MAJOR three: Deniro/Pacino/Pesci I think Pacino knocked it out of the park.
