Playtime Comments : [Veritasium] The Truth About Toilet Swirl - Southern Hemisphere

Jo*********:

+Veritasium - I loved that you included footage (1:10) from "The Long Way Down", especially since it was my first thought when seeing the link in +SmarterEveryDay. Charlie and Ewan's minds are blown by this road side demonstration.

ha*********:
u should say at the beginning that ur video has to be on the right side :D 6:10

Th*************:
I can appreciate the genius that went into conceptualizing and editing this.  Best collaboration I've ever seen.  Like!

Ch************:
"Synchronise the videos!" Nah, I don't have time to get up from the sofa

Ma***********:

This video was so awesome with a two monitor setup

Ja********:

Damn, I watched the whole video on two screens, and at the end I HAD YOU ON THE WRONG SCREEN! Coolest video ever, and I am still 5 years late.

To*********:
I synced them up near perfectly and had the videos on the right sides... This was amazing thank you so much guys this was really really really cool!!! So glad I took the time to watch them you went all out on this I love it :)

Jo****:
Damn, I put the Veritasium video on the left and the SmarterEveryDay video on the right, making it quite weird when they started pointing at eachother at the end and entering the other video.

An***********:

I realized at the end that I had the two videos on the wrong side of the screen.
THIS WAS VERY COOL!

Da*****:

One of the best ideas I've seen on youtube and very well put together!

Cd********:

Congratulations Derek and Destin! Two (or one) amazing videos, and what an effort to making them! It's so cool how you have demystified a mith explaining how it works with that elegance and making something more epic than just water spinning in a toilet. Thank you guys!

Si***********:

that awkward moment when 1 video buffers xD

Ry*:
Protip: You want Destin's video on the left and Derek's on the right.
On windows: You can use the Windows key + left or right to move a window to the left or right side of your monitor(s).

FJ**:
I was watching both videos at the same time and was so amazed how synchronized they were. Thank you guys for establishing this myth.

De***********:

Vsauce + Veritasium + Smarter Every Day = Awesomeness
Make a collaboration!

El***********:
This video was so freaking cool! Youtube should add a feature which allows you to sync videos to promote cool stuff like this!

The music was so perfect too!
It didn't sound weird even if you synced it a second or two too late!

jo*******:
This was brilliant! The experience of switching attention to the other video (while the original video still displays some extra visuals/info) was like nothing I've ever seen before on YouTube! (Also the experiment itself was very interesting as well!) Incredible job on this guys! :D

jg******:
That awkward moment when you had the videos in the wrong position at the end.

Kr**************:

By accident I even arranged the windows right and got the timing pretty damn accurately. This must be one of the coolest things I've ever seen on youtube. Kudos to you, Sirs!

Ni**************:
Unbelievable! This is the best execution of a YouTube based experiment I've ever seen! Way to go guys, this is going down in the hall of YouTube fame.

Fe*********:

This is the best collaboration ever

Bo******:
who else continued to watch both videos even after the sync was over???? chaos was it XD

ja*******:

Its funny how at the ending i setup the videos so that this one is on the left, breaking the illusion of them looking at each other

4z********:
coolest collabo

Tr*********:

To sync the videos, go to the website ViewSync, paste in the URLs, uncheck the "Single Audio Track" box, and then copy and paste the link it spits out into your address bar. Easy.

Ni***:
watching this on 2 monitors helps!

Ho***:
people who think the world is flat get triggered over this

Gr**********:

the most creative work of youtube cooperation i ever saw amazing! --> is there some kind of prize were we could nominate you guys?

Ac**********:
Honestly, the most amazing part of this set of videos(to me) was the score editing. The music playing on both videos as you give your explanation sounds complete on both, but when you play both together, it sounds like one composition. It's amazing!

Ta*****:

I love how Veritasium (The Aussie guy) say "5 foot wide kiddie pool" While the American bloke says "1.5 metres"
Shouldn't their metric and imperial systems be the other way around?

Ze*****:
This is so cool! The only problem is that I'll have to write this same comment in SmarterEveryDay's video.

Jo**********:
I managed to get this perfectly synced on two monitors :D that was amazing, I would love to see more like this

Be********:

Th******************:
Toilets are flat, this is just propaganda.

Jo*****:

That was amazingly cool to watch on 2 screens!!!! do it again.... do it again...!!!!!!! lol

Tr**********:
Toilet swirl is usually initiated by angular water nozzles located under the rim which will overpower any minute Coriolis effect.

Na**************:

It's funny to watch just this video, especially when there's just an awkward smiling silence every little bit.

St******:

I watched both videos first one by one because I neglected your advise of sync'ing them up. After that I was so curious that I tried the synced version and I am BLOWN AWAY. Holy cow is it made awesome. The syncing is done so well inbetween videos, very nice work. I can only advice anyone to sync this video; it's worth it.

Edit: In case you don't know how: I used viewsync, just google it, put in both videos, deactivate the "single audio track" option and you are good to go. :)

Ev********:

this is one of the coolest things i've seen on youtube with the whole video sync thing. awesome job!

Ke************:
Collaboration
So
Thank
Guys
Much!
(See other video for the rest)
