There is a series called "Avlu" here in Turkey. They are copying OITNB and people who have no idea of OITNB love it. Please make it stop I'm so sick of it.

These women aren't the actresses from the show, nor were they made to look ugly on purpose. The director, from the Thomas Cobb Group, filmed and photographed real women who had been previously incarcerated and/or gang affiliated. And I'm not sure exactly which face is hers, but Piper Kerman, whom Piper Chapman is based on and the author of the book Orange Is The New Black, is in this.

I've no Idea why, but i actually never skipped this Intro, i always tried to figure out which facial Parts would belong to the specific Actress, until i recently found out, that they're displaying real Convicts in the Opening. I love the Animations though and the Song itself fits so well, like the Lyrics are completely matching to the Prison Theme.

I found an interesting article about how they directed each woman to visualize in their mind three emotive thoughts: Think of a peaceful place, think of a person who makes you laugh, and think of something that you want to forget. He apologized ahead of time for the last question but found it was incredibly effective in evoking a wide range of unfortunate memories montage of smiles, frowns, glares and stares, tears etc. I always think of what might be going through their heads, in some of the more sad, or sullen faces
