twoyou 2021. 2. 11. 17:29(Recommended)Popular Videos : [TED] Questioning the universe | Stephen Hawking
This time, I will review the popular YouTube videos.
These days, even if it's good to watch on YouTube, sometimes people skip it or don't watch it if it's too long.
Summary Comments : [TED] Questioning the universe | Stephen Hawking
1. Where did we come from?
2. How did the universe come into being?
3. Are we alone in the universe?
4. Is there alien life out there?
5. What is the future of the human race?
Up until the 1920s, everyone thought the universe was essentially static and unchanging in time. Then it was discovered that the universe was expanding. Distant galaxies were moving away from us. This meant they must have been closer together in the past. If we extrapolate back, we find they must have all been on top of each other about 15 billion years ago. This was the big bang, the beginning of the universe.
But was there anything before the big bang? If not, what created the universe? Why did the universe emerge from the big bang the way it did?
We use to think that the theory of the universe could be divided into two parts. First there were the laws like Maxwell’s equations and general relativity that determine the evolution of the universe given its state over all space at one time. And second, there was no question of the initial state of the universe. We have made good progress on the first part and now have a knowledge of the laws of evolution in all but the most extreme conditions, but until recently we have had little idea about the initial conditions for the universe. However, this division into laws of evolution and initial conditions depends on time and space being separate and distinct. Under extreme conditions, general relativity and quantum theory allowed time to behave like another dimension of space. This removes the distinction between time and space, and means the laws of evolution can also determine the initial state. The universe can spontaneously create itself out of nothing. More over, we can calculate the probabilities that the universe is created in different states. These predictions are in excellent agreement with observations by the WMAP satellite of the cosmic microwave background, which is an imprint of the very early universe. We think we have solved the mystery of creation. Maybe we should patent the universe and charge everyone royalties for their existence.......

Science lost a good man regardless what people may think.
R.I.P Hawkins #Starman
I'm curious what star Scientists will name you after and hopefully the children will see that star at night and let them become a scientist one day. We need them!
Love and Peace.

He didn't cheat by using god as an answer to complex questions.

He was a genius and never will be forgotten. I take off my hat to him

Are these guys making fun of one of the greatest minds ever to grace the cosmos? Are you serious? This is why I feel sorry for the fate of the Human Race!
co******:
The good thing about Dr. Hawkin's lecture is that google automatic subs do work pretty well.
To****:
Mad respect, Professor. I cried when you died. I really did. I know you dont know me and I you, but I feel like I know you. Next to my father, you're the man.

It saddens me every time I watch a amazing video about science and learning and expanding the human mind, but then look at the comments and see a swarm of mindless religious trolls ( most of the time christian) saying hard proven facts aren't true. Why? It unrelated, unneeded, unwanted.
My***********:
Yup, that's a smart man, smart man...
Br*****:
this man is remarkable
Na*********:
I don't see any negative comments here. What i see are the comments of people who are talking about the negative comments. Wtf
Ne*****:
"Iam discounting the report of UFOs .why would they appear only to cranks and weirdos"-Stephen hawking.
Iam laughing very hard at this
Ma***********:
Thank goodness for the man. That's all I can say. Hang in there Professor. Hang in there, we need you.
He can only prove what we are able to understand. That goes for all the scientists as they will never be able to prove what we are not able to get
Gr********:
Rip another genius gone
Br***********:
inspiring... you know he made no excuses and neither will I :)

I think this is a great Ted talk, I'd love to see more from Stephen Hawking. Also, people can have their thing, as long as their thing isn't going into the comments section of a wonderful and inspirational video like this, and trying to force their opinion on others. This is a great talk no matter what you believe, and if people who are willfully ignorant actually take time to watch and understand this video, then comments like these wouldn't exist, and we would actually be able to have a nice discussion about the video instead of trading hateful remarks while more and more people jump in.
[TED] We gathered comments about popular videos and looked at them in summary, including play time, and order of popularity.
It's a good video or channel, but if you're sad because it's too long, please leave a YouTube channel or video link and I'll post it on this blog.
