Mi***:
1:51 when your high as shut and laugh for no reason
An*********:
I will answer a much smaller question for you: why do the next 17:21 minutes exist in your life?
To do something useful rather than watch this talk.
St*************:
"this has been confirmed...gravitational waves from just before the big bang" at 13:56 in the video.
Nonsense. We have no observations available from before the big bang.

This guy talks the way I do and everyone laughs at me
Jr****:
Sir, there's no shame in saying 'I don't know'. It makes everything simple and understandable
An*********:
He said a lot, yet managed to say nothing.

Government created the Universe. That's why they can tax anything.
M*:
universe trying to become self aware through evolution of life
Sa*************:
Science beautifully explains us "how" something is designed and "how" something works, but, spirituality explains us "why".
Example, we may see a car moving in a particular direction and then taking a turn and moving ahead. Science can explain how the car works, how the wheel rotates, how much force is applied, how the engine is running, etc, but science cannot tell us why the car is moving, why it is taking a turn. For that, we have to approach the person controlling the car.
Similarly, science explains the working of the universe with the help of forces and energy, but it leaves us mysterious about why the universe exists, why does it work in this way, for which we must approach the creator of the universe.
Ve***********:
Why the universe exists. This is like asking why is there gravity?
Scientists cannot answer the why question.
Ne*********:
The Universe is under no obligation to make sense to us.
Yu***:
To all people who are spamming in comments "spoiler, he doesn't say the answer": you didn't think you'd find the answer to this in the video on YT, did you?
An******:
Spoiler: He doesn't know.
St*****:
I come to this side of YouTube when I want to procrastinate but not feel like I'm procrastinating.
qw****:
It exists so I can drink beer, watch Netflix and eat chips. If there’s any other explanation I don’t want to know about it
Mi****:
The answer is that it doesn't matter. You have to create meaning in your life, you will never find it in the universe.
Ma***********:
I think he hasn’t prepared well for this talk. Or maybe his arguments are totally wrong and empty!
He moves to why should we care without concluding the first part, the audience burst out laughing
Th****************:
Person: Hi
Me: thinking of an ice breaker
An********:
I always have a big question, that is if there is a concept beyond something and nothing. I mean really its tough. We have to go beyond existing logics to solve the existential mystery of the universe.
La**********:
When we look at the unimaginably massive universe we live in, it turns out that we are just a group of extremely arrogant and insignificant beings, who don't and can't know the reason for our own existence....
but ironically instead, we are questioning why God exists??!!
Al******:
The fact about universe ..
(1) it is multiverse (likely is, as many great scientist believed this way).
(2) It has strong link to mathematics.
(3) Need a conscious being to collapse the wave functions. That is to, move into a multiverse due to the choice you make (via free will). Without a consciousness to observe an event, the event is in all possible states. That is to say all possible state of multiverse is open to conscious being until he make a choice (a path if you will, to move along a path thru the multiverse ).
Question time ....
(1) why would the universe appear in a multiverse state and not like the classical world ie. before we discovered the atom and QM was born and we learned we are likely in a multiverse. Why not all matters (or material) are make from what they are eg. steel is make of steel. Rock is from rock. And not everything is from the basic component ie. atom.
To move in an non-multiverse way ie. the classical view of universe ie. we all just move along as it is (no multiverse).
(2) why maths ? Why not the universe appear as it is ie. no maths linked to universe.
Now the 3rd question is big.
(a) Universe likely to exist becos of consciousness - QM says Without a consciousness to observe an event, the event is in all possible states. So it is meaningless for universe to have an specific event when there is no one to see it. So, IMO the universe place highest priority on consciousness to experience life via free will.
(b) Evolution - Speices on earth needed millions of years of evolution to come to a state we have today. Senses like where we can sense danger so Speices can pass on the "good" genes to the next generation with higher chances of survival. How did Evolution knew what to do eg. pass on good genes. How did the universe knew ahead of time that universe required a consciousness with a sense (eyes) to observe the universe (to collapse the wave functions). The idea of "collapse the wave functions" existed BEFORE even there is life yet in the universe. It looked like the universe is alive.
There is something going on here (our existense) if you look at item all items stated here. There are too many pre-design stuff here.
sa****:
" even if there was nothing, you still wouldn't be happy" : shows how everything is connected to your thought. Thought is based on information u have gathered from your senses in the past and at this moment. The universe u experience is not the same I experience 100% as what each individual experiences is based on that individuals projection based on data collected by that individual via the sences. Therefore, we are all living in our own universe. Looks a lot similar to all as the data which is grasped from sences is v. Similar. However, there are dimensions which our sences cannot grasp. For life forms which can grasp those dimensions, they see the universe differently. Points more towards an illusion based on thought. But due to the process moving at such an fast pace , we see it as reality. Ie: how pixels on a TV shows us pictures which are identified by each individual
