I went to a Bernie rally back in early April, and when he said "HUGE CHANGE" ALL of us started going "YUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUGE" It was funnny. Later on I got to shake his and his wife's hand and that was the single most amazing moment of my life.

I'm from New York and I really wish I had a profound accent, but as the video said, it's fading. However, when I'm angry, excited, etc., my accent bounces right up, so I guess it's not all gone.

Emphasizing the often unpronounced letters is often done in autistic people. I routinely do this out of habit of memorization. It's near impossible for me to remember something if I don't read it. Reading a word and pronouncing it can be very different things. So, the word left is often pronounced as binding and perfect as possible, regardless of how other people say it. It often seems important I get the message across as clearly as I can simply because I often find I lack information in conversation, simply because they assume I'm inferring the rest. I don't infer well at all.
