What I learnt:

Great Leader makes his followers feel safe & protected
"Leadership is a choice. It is not a rank."
High rank = High Authority ≠ Good Leader

Da***********:

This speech was phenomenal. I am a coach and I'm also a leader in corporate and I am surprised that so many people in positions of authority do not get this basic concept of sacrifice and building trust among the team. This is such good information. Thank you

En*********:

One thing that has not been mentioned is that from a professional perspective, a good leader may not always be successful. This is because in almost all professional organizations, success is measured in profits, expansion and meeting deadlines etc. In order to meet these numbers, a lot of times there is no way but to exploit people and be unfair with your subordinates. Since a good leader cannot compromise on his moral principles, he will not exploit people and would eventually fail. He will take a hit from the higher management and may be sidelined. Under such circumstances, he may win respect of his subordinates but still be unsuccessful from a professional and corporate point of view.
People should understand that a leader's character will not always lead you to measurable and quantifiable success. It may also lead you towards rejection by your superiors and you may have to bear the consequences of staying firm on your principles and not bending to your superior's will. A leader's character may lead you into trouble.

Mi***:

I worked for Discover financial briefly, and they always made their employees feel valued. It was very hard to get fired. They worked hard to take care of their employees needs and Struggles. It was pretty inspiring. Good leadership in my opinion.

Go************:
Goodness this guy is a good speaker.

Gu********:
"Would you downsize one family member when you go through tough times"? Loved it. Of course companies think heads first, executives are too greedy to take a pay cut and unpaid time off, then they wonder why is so tough to find and keep good talent. No loyalty. I bet you if a company was loyal and asked employees to give someone time back to save jobs, no one would say no.

Ba***********:
Just imagine if the World had Political leaders like this guy.

De********:
Send this to every boss in the world

De*****************:

I really enjoyed myself in this session of real endowment with knowledge

bu********:

I worked for a leader once. I've worked for 8 bosses, only one was a leader.

Ma******:

My teacher told me to watch some Simon Sinek videos. This is so inspirational and authentic compared to other TED talk videos that i saw. He wants people to understand something that not a lot of people think of. Mind you, i am only 13, and this is just amazing, it really taught me something. The future will lead us into safety and something that will keep our globe, a wonderful place. Leaders can protect us. I don't want to write an essay here, but if i would, it would be over 3 pages. I hope he continues to strive on believing his thoughts that people can follow. Its what people can learn from.
