I’m asian and one time my American english teacher made us sing star spangled banner for 5% of our grade. I’m still not sure why he did that but it was hilarious watching everyone (including me) tried to succeed in singing this song

Well, for the awkward phrasing, you have to remember that it was originally a poem, not a song :)

I’m not an American but I love the anthem! I like that it is so hard and that at football games or at other events, there is always someone who has their special moment and sings the national anthem.
I’m from Germany and except from the ending our national anthem is quite boring and not that hard to sing. We usually don’t have singers at soccer games but everyone sings it together or at political events there’s only a track in the background.
I like how emotional the American anthem is. And Lady Gaga’s performance at the Inauguration was amazing!
