Top Comments : [Vox] The awkward debate around Trump's mental fitness

Be***********:

You got what you voted for. He's in the same mental state that he was campaigning in.

Te*********:

What bothers me the most about his mental health exam, is that when he was given the dementia test (he had to remember 5 words, see pictures of animals and name the animals, etc), everyone thought it was a test for his mental fitness. But it was really a standard dementia exam.. When Obama did the EXACT same test, no one was dissing him about how he was an 'easy mental test'

El***********:

America needs professionals to do psychological evaluations on the people running for presidency

An*************:
America has produced some of the top leading scientist in the world as well as doctors yet we refuse to listen to them? It makes no sense

De**********:

He’s a smooth brain

Re**********:

Yes he is unfit. And Trump should be a perfect way to display to the world how a Narcissist is formed; through a very bad diet.

ma*********:

If he doesn't have dementia then he is just truly evil.

wa****:
mental health exam should be a requirement to run for public office

Me**************:
Now we’re in the middle of a pandemic and he claims to have “never heard” of the guy who is in charge of making the vaccine. That’s not normal. He should have a mental health screening.

re***:
Dr Lee is basically the little boy that point out the king didn’t wear any clothes.

Da**:
Mental health tests should be basic annual requirements to stay in power.

Na*********:

Who else is not American and is just speechless

Se***********:
Oo do Joe Biden in the next episode!

Ki******:

Donald Trump has two parts of brain, one left and one right.
The left part has nothing right.
The right part has nothing left.

wo**************:
It is unethical NOT TO talk about mental fitness of public representatives. When they are fit, there is nothing to talk about.

My*********:

I am not a doctor but who calls himself a stable genius?

Ni*********:

Everyone in 2018: Trump is unstable
Trump in 2020: Person, woman, man, camera, TV
Everyone in 2020: He's good

Jo*******:

We are in Danger with guy HE need Mental Health help

Ol********:
shouldn’t a mental fitness check be like a mandatory thing? especially in an older president? like i would think at least once a year he gets screened for his mental health. now he’s exhibiting tons of signs of dementia, which runs in his immediate family, but he’s denying dementia screenings. if it was just a mandatory process then he would’ve been out of office by now for being seriously mentally unfit

Fr**********:

"Everyone around the president questions his intelligence,,.."
How can one question something that does not exist?

Ne**:
You should make his brain smaller in the thumbnail.

Aj*******:

Yup his brain is the size of a peanut

Dr*************:
Video : Is Trump mentally unfit to be president?
Biden: struggles to complete a full sentence.

ch*******:
His problem is that he doesn't get enough sleep. He says he gets 4 hours each night. This has been clearly shown that it affects your mental capacities.

Ir*********:

Here's a tip for fellow americans:

Never elect an orange to be your president.

So**********:
Trump: almost started a war
Them: thats nothing thats just trump being trump

Eg********:
Don't you wish she was taken more seriously?

Jo*********:

August, 2018. It has been reported that Trump cannot comprehend Time Zones, and will call other countries at the middle of their night.

Re***********:

"If it was unpatriotic to question the government, we'd still be English" - Robin Williams

Al********:

After some research, it was found *he has NEVER READ A BOOK*.

Now that’s a warning sign if ever I’ve seen one.

Ri*******:

"I'm not a doctor, so I can't comment...."

"I am a doctor, so I can't comment..."

In********************:
Putin probably still pauses sometimes, at random moments throughput the day, and laughs at his amazing luck in getting Trump voted in.

Ci*************:

His denial about the coronavirus says long about his "mental fitness" to be a president.

Un**********:

Frontotemporal dementia is an umbrella term for a group of uncommon brain disorders that primarily affect the frontal and temporal lobes of the brain. These areas of the brain are generally associated with personality, behavior and language.

In frontotemporal dementia, portions of these lobes shrink (atrophy). Signs and symptoms vary, depending on which part of the brain is affected. Some people with frontotemporal dementia have dramatic changes in their personality and become socially inappropriate, impulsive or emotionally indifferent, while others lose the ability to use language properly.

Frontotemporal dementia is often misdiagnosed as a psychiatric problem or as Alzheimer's disease. But frontotemporal dementia tends to occur at a younger age than does Alzheimer's disease.
