Brilliant talk. Change my thoughts on Muslin. They are just ordinary people as anyone else

RE*******************:

I go to a catholic school and I’m Muslim, but it’s not a problem for the school. People treated me equally. And all of my friends are catholic and Christian, but the don’t mind at all. We never have a problem about our religion. So I wish America treated Muslims equally like my friends treated me. Love from Indonesia

And yes, I liked my own comment

Sa**********:

What do I think when look at you? That you're my beautiful sister with beautiful speech

An*******:

As a Christian, I was impressed by your speech. Christians need to remember that Muslims and other non-Christians are their neighbours and fellow humans. Reacting with hatred and violence towards Muslims and other non-Christians only drives them away from Christ. The Chinese Government's crackdown on Xinjiang will only reinforce the cycle of ethnic and religious tensions between Uighur Muslims and Han Chinese.

I studied in America for two years, I was bullied and mocked because I am a Muslim, but there was only one girl who always saved me from them , I was really depressed in those days because of them. Imagine that you are crying at night and longing for your family and you are in a strange country and people are afraid of you. Only the person who has experienced this feeling knows a painful feeling that I do not want you to experience it forever):

So... I'm a Hindu girl from India and I respect Muslims a lot.I have muslim friends and I love them and their families as much as they respect us.We can't blame the whole community because of the sins of some people.Because like other religions humanity is a religoin and I'm a human and as much as I love who am I , I'm not afraid to respect other's. That's what my family taught me and that's what I believe.

Ma*********:

I feel sorry for the people who just disliked and left. They missed their chance of escaping their own mind prison. I'm so grateful that I've found this talk. Thank you to all involved.

Ve*******:

I used to teach in a small town where mostly the inhabitants were Chatolics/Christian believers. So I was the only Muslim in the school. None of my students were Muslim ofc. However, the students were really friendly and respectful. Before my contract was over, I had asked my students to write a letter for me. I still remember, one of the letters made me shocked. My student wrote that initially she hated all Muslims to the core after watching the anti-Muslim propaganda from the media like television, radio, or even internet. But after she knew me, she had had a change of heart. She said she loved me because I treated my students equally and not being bad to them. Well you see, it's just because of misconception about Muslim. What a certain group did could not be the representative for the whole group, right?

This could the best TED Talk i've ever watched, containing the best words that truly describe what Islam is for people for and against. Huts off Dalia Mogahed.

As an atheist, I feel for her. I always heard that Muslim people are bad. When they talk about someone of the Orient, they will say MUSLIMS, but they don't even know their religion. I am always trying to educate people, because I know that every single human being deserves respect and deserves freedom to have their own faith. No one should be judged by their religion, their orientation, or anything else.
Her words truly affected me in the best possible way, it was so deep from her heart. I hope we can live in a world where there is no racism, no segregation, only love, peace and happiness

Fr***********:
I’m so proud of everyone, who is respectful , wrote these beautiful kind comments about the video, who is supportive to others: Muslim, Gay, Plant —doesn’t matter to whom.
I’m from Russia and I watch TED TALKS in Russian language. I looked up the comments after the Russian version of this video and saw a bunch of disgusting, stupid, stereotyping comments about the speech and religion at all. I was so disappointed and guilty of living in the same country with them, so I went there, found an original video and now I’m smiling af because YES, THERE ARE BEAUTIFUL, KIND AND OPEN-MINDED PEOPLE IN THE WORLD THANK YOU ALL!

have a nice day:) and treat people with kindness:)
