I'm an expert in making myself just comfortable enough for a while, then I feel guilt and disappoint that overrides the feeling of comfort so I take the next bit of action to get back to comfort. It's so frustrating! Can anyone relate?

Lady, if you ever read that comment i like to say to you how you gave me power. I'm always uncomfortable and assumed few months ago how unhappy that I am and you just show me how to use it as a power and a source of motivation. You are fearce. Your face is stunning and I wanna paint you and hang in my wall always remembering what I learned with you.

Perfect, I have a speech tomorrow hahahaba

Pa*******:

Helping someone else to stand and speak up is part of being alive and real. Guess I've always been a "domino" and didn't realize it. Not that I yell much. I always mean it, I usually can defend it and I hope I always say it with love.

I feel her on everything that she says...I am a silent Libra and I keep my ideas, resolutions, everything silent to just me and my thoughts alone. After this, I will slowly start to come out of my shell and will become more verbal with my ideas and opinions.

Ma*********:
“Being yourself can be a revolutionary act.”

Ha********:
This is a great talk, and I encourage everyone to 'be the domino' as she puts it.
I would however also encourage everyone reading this to investigate yourselves.
It is very easy for those in a privileged position to not investigate our own beliefs and values, what we advocate, believing we already know it all. I know this from my own experience.

I held racist beliefs, yet I didn't see them as racist. I held sexist beliefs, and I did not see these as sexist either.
It is difficult to confront your own bigotry, it isn't something immediately clear because it is covered by a veil of "That's just how it is".
What ripped me out of this mindset was listening to others. Women, black people, trans people speaking up about the various harmful power dynamics they face.

Ka*********:

At 72, I've given up being the "silent" revolutionary. When I was younger, I voiced support for a newly graduated black female with a degree in health care administration. I was a manager under her at the time, but her position was desired by the staff pharmacist. He lied about my position. No one ever bothered to ask me about it, including the young lady. I lost my job over it and eventually so did she. A couple of years later, she stopped my husband on the street to apologise. The polnt is that we must commit ourselves to listen to each other, every day and in our courts, truthfully without the bias of racism or sexism. I spent most of my life thinking that I was protecting myself and my family, but many people will do anything for a buck. They won't care when the result is murder, destroyed health and financial stability of a family or anything else. They're own personal goal (s) is the only one that matters. Getting the dominoes to fall correctly takes concentration, education and timing.
