Da*****:

I'm a boy and this hurts my heart. Not because I'm suicidal, which I'm not. But because this is just so...Beautiful.

He*******:

I love his speech and believe it should be shared in schools.

T*:

I dont understand how this can be disliked? It is inspiration gold

Em****:

here in 2020 still crying over this mans writing

Da*******:

I was born deaf in one ear. When I came to school I would try to use my hair to hide my big bulky hearing aids but they still showed. I started being called "old lady" because apparently only senior citizens wear hearing aids. It still hasn't stopped and by now I have given up hope that people would change. I began to use the term "I hate people" to hide the fact that I hated myself. I have mole on my nose. People would say "Oh what do you have on your nose SNOTFACE" and laugh. They knew it was a mole but wouldn't stop. It still happens and every day I try to pretend I'm sick so I don't have to go to school. I know I'm a defect and my hearing just costs my parents money, I'm not sure if I should show them this video for fear they might take me to a therapist, as therapists that I've been to before have never helped.

Ca***********:

"When I was a kid, I used to think that pork chops and karate chops were the same thing. I thought they were both pork chops."

I relate to that to much, I can’t stand up for myself no matter how hard I try.

Al**********:

Its been five years, and this message still brings me to tears. I don't have the confidence or dexterity with words that he does, yet am inspired by his poems and songs to change the way I see the world. Thank you. That's all I have to say.

Thank you.

Mi************:
Our stupid culture still give peoples choice awards to Miley Cyrus, and Nobel peace prizes to Obama. But genuine people like this get left in the dust.

Ta***********:
"If you can't see anything beautiful about yourself get a better mirror look a little closer stare a little longer because there I something inside you that made you keep trying despite everyone that told you to quit" I'm getting this as a tattoo when I'm older

“Smarter than an average bear mudafaka”

Best quote and I will use it

He*******:
I shared this with my homeroom teacher and told him we should watch it in class in 11th grade. He did. Literally none of them took it seriously.

Wtf is wrong with some people.

Kr***********:
God... it’s been two years.... but listening to this once again I find myself crying once more... it’s beautiful just as it was years ago.

Br****:

"Ive been shot down so many times I get altitude sickness when i stand up for myself."
"They dont understand that she has two kids who's definition of beauty begins with the word mom. Because they see her heart before they see her skin."
"Smarter than the average bear motherfucka"
"If you don't see anything beautiful about yourself, get a different mirror, look a little closer stare a little longer!"

The best quotes in this thing. I love this, and those watching this, I love you too. Keep going, stay strong.

Dr****:
"Despite a loving husband, she doesn't think she's beautiful because of a birthmark that takes up a little less than half her face, kids used to say that she looks like a wrong answer someone tried to erase but couldn't quite get the job done, and they'll NEVER understand that she's raising two kids whose definition of beauty begins with the word "Mom", because they see her heart before her skin. Because she's only ever been amazing" This part really hit me so flipping hard, I've got someone very dear to me that has an incredibly bad self-image because of her appearance, and this just instantly brought me to burst out in tears. She's only ever been amazing, beautifful, fantastic and absolutely stunning and goergous inside and out, mashallah.

Love this guy's poetry.

Lo***********:
“Kids are gonna laugh at me no matter what” that what I said on my second day of grade 2.. everyone doubted me. No one believed my dream. I wanted to write. I wanted to dive into books to get away from the lies and the names. I just wanted to get away from the kids that left my heart in pain. in art class they used the blood they drew from my broken heart as paint. They wanted my dream to shatter! I stopped eating for days in 4th grade. After that I had found out I had high metabolism. All because they drained the hunger out of my body.

Da***************:

I had a horrible life and it has broken me totally. I never had a girl friend ever in school. I had my first real girlfriend at 35 years old and she cheated on me since the beginning. After wanting to die since age 12. By 6 years old being abused by meds I didn't need. My whole life abused by mental health meds for illnesses I don't have. By 12 being tortured twice by kids using weapons trying to kill me. Then when medicated on 16 pills a day getting far ugly what does people do at school. Well I was showering and they took pictures of me and showed it to all of the girls of the school. Then they took my cloths whiling using the bathroom and made me walk out naked. They would laugh at me all day at lunch making fun of me and me eating. I never truly ever had a friend and I am 36. I do not believe that at this age will ever have a true friend. I am too far gone and messed up by CPTSD and have a very hard time for the trauma abuse and torture I had my whole life. I now do not let anyone in my life I am poor and was homeless for four and a half months. Also while I was homeless robbed three times for my phone. Also someone burned me with hot tea they warmed up for over 5 minutes then a crazy person tried to burn my face. I moved and got third degree burns on my neck chest and ear.
